At Keystone Clinic & Surgery, we believe that mental wellness is just as important as physical health. Good mental health enables individuals to cope with life’s stressors, work productively, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to their communities. We recognise that mental health challenges are common and treatable, and early intervention is key. That’s why we’ve built a comprehensive and compassionate mental health ecosystem within our clinics, designed to meet our patients where they are, and support them throughout their journey to wellness.
We believe in a holistic approach to mental health and wellness in our clinics. We aim to offer a full variety of mental health services including counselling, psychological assessments and treatment, and medication (if necessary). Our doctors are often the first point of clinical contact and are trained to assess mental health concerns, prescribe medication when needed, and provide multi-disciplinary care with counsellors and clinical psychologists. Most of our doctors are certified family physicians, allowing for timely and integrated treatment. We recognise that some patients may need a referral to psychiatrists for specialist-level care, especially those with complex disorders, concomitant challenging medical or social factors, or needs further risk management.
Additionally, we have active partnerships with psychologists and counsellors to perform in-depth psychological evaluations for our patients. These include common disorders such as depression or anxiety. We will then be able to co-manage and offer personalized therapy plans tailored to each individual’s cognitive and emotional needs, ensuring targeted and measurable progress.
In collaboration with Counselling Haven, we offer safe, supportive, and confidential counselling services. Counselling can be helpful for individuals facing emotional challenges such as stress, grief, relationship issues, or caregiver burnout. Our patients will be able to access professional support that empowers them to develop coping strategies, build emotional resilience, and foster positive mental well-being.
Through our partnership with Hope4life, licensed psychologists provide in-depth psychological evaluations and therapy tailored to each individual. These services include assessments for depression, anxiety, learning disabilities (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, ADHD), personality disorders, and more complex psychiatric conditions. Therapy plans may include evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care. These are all designed to support measurable and meaningful progress in mental health outcomes.
