Influenza Vaccinations

Keystone Clinic & Surgery offers quadrivalent vaccinations that protect against four different flu viruses; two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses.

While it is possible to catch influenza (flu) at any time, there are two peak flu seasons in Singapore due to the weather conditions — April to July and November to January. This flu vaccine is released twice a year during April/May and September/October (for the Southern Hemisphere influenza season and Northern Hemisphere influenza season respectively).

Moreover, getting a flu vaccination before traveling is recommended because you may interact with people from areas of the world where influenza viruses are circulating as the flu seasons for these countries may be different from Singapore.

The flu vaccine or flu shot is either given by injection into a muscle or just underneath the skin. Each new release contains different strains of flu virus that are expected to be the most common for that season. Take note that it usually takes around two weeks for optimal protection to develop after immunization.

With tailored solutions for various destinations, Keystone Clinic & Surgery prioritises your health wherever your travels take you.
