Chickenpox vaccination is a preventative measure against the varicella-zoster virus, which causes chickenpox. The vaccine contains a weakened form of the virus, which triggers the immune system to produce antibodies that protect against future infections.

Recommended for children aged 12-15 months and adults with no history of chickenpox or the vaccination.

Dosage Information:
It is recommended to have 2 doses. Person above 13 years old, doses to be administered 3 months apart. Person younger than 13 years old, doses to be administered 4 weeks apart. No booster is recommended.
